This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.
STAFF CHANGES
Unfortunately, Westhorne have lost a few of their nurses recently. Rachel has moved on locally to complete her veterinary nursing qualification at a nurse training centre
Liz Bix, our former head nurse and practice manager has moved on to continue emergency and critical care in the very same industry
The remainder of the Westhorne Team wish them both the very best. They will both be missed by clients and staff.
In their place we welcome Jeff, a veterinary technician and Alison, a veterinary receptionist who will both provide you and your companion with the care you have become used to at Westhorne Veterinary Surgery.

ASSISTED NEUTERING SCHEME
The Westhorne team are now supporting and helping the local community, by co-operating with local charities, to offer free neutering for cats to those on a reduced income*
*Evidence will need to be provided
*** The Cats Protection League is a charity and appreciate any donations you wish to leave with the practice towards the cost of treatment received ***

At Westhorne Veterinary Surgery, we appreciate that sometimes it is not easy for
owners and some pets to get to us. We offer home visits during the week wherever
possible. Please be aware that in the case of a genuine emergency it is far
better to bring your pet to the surgery where we have the full facilities and
staff at our disposal to care for your pet. Valuable minutes can be wasted
in us coming to your house only to then transfer the pet to the WVS. Please call
the surgery for more information about our home visit service and costs.
Euthanasia visits are quite understandably the most commonly requested house
call and we will always try and organise this service for our clients to be at a
convenient time and with as much dignity and comfort for your pet as possible.
Almo is the preferred brand of pet food stocked here at Westhorne Veterinary Surgery, click on the links below to travel directly to the manufacturers site for more information.
